Two Neighborhoods, One Cedar Valley

Our Story

What began simply as a family-driven golf club has grown into the distinctive Town of Cedar Valley. Located in Logan County and incorporated in July 1982, Cedar Valley comprises two residential communities - Cedar Valley East (CVE) and Cedar Valley West (CVW) - linked by a narrow, 75-foot-wide corridor along Highway 33

Golf Roots & Family Legacy
The Cedar Valley Golf Club was developed in 1973 - 1974 by Claude “Duffy” Martin and his family. Architect Floyd Farley laid out the courses, and the Martin family guided every step - from planting greens to carving ponds. The club officially opened on September 20, 1974. As the centerpiece of the town, the golf course remains privately owned and lovingly managed by the Martin family to this day.

What began as a family golf course grew into a town we are proud to call home.

A Town Built on Fairways and Friendships

From a Course to a Community
The first homes trickled in soon after incorporation, forming both East and West sections connected by that narrow road strip. Early 1980s population hovered around 30–60 residents; by 1990, official census data recorded 61 residents, growing modestly over subsequent decades to 288 in 2010 and 405 by 2020.

Natural Beauty & Lifestyle
With rolling hills, cedar trees, serene ponds, and abundant wildlife - from deer to waterfowl - Cedar Valley offers a peaceful respite where the howls of coyotes or the hoots of owls provide nightly lullabies. It’s a tranquil, picturesque place to call home.

Community Snapshot
By mid-2021, there were approximately 153 home sites, accommodating roughly 319 residents. Many residents are professionals or managers who commute to nearby cities, enjoying the best of both worlds: a calm, scenic hometown and easy urban access.

Why Cedar Valley Stands Out
More than just a residential area, Cedar Valley grew from a shared dream into a tight-knit town with two unique neighborhoods. Its roots in family legacy, its thoughtful planning around a golf-centered landscape, and its natural beauty all blend to create a place that’s peaceful, purposeful - and undeniably charming.
